♡ YAY OR NO WAY? KAT VON D SAINT & SINNER PALETTE ♡

Hi lovelies! I'm back once more with another review (if you couldn't already tell). I've been a huge fan of Kat Von D ever since I first tried her foundation which is hella amazing. I've been dabbling in some of her other products, but none of them caught my eye as much as this one palette has. The Kat Von D Saint & Sinner palette

As soon as I saw it for the first time, I knew that I desperately wanted this palette, but the $62 price tag was enough to keep me away. For a while.

I was exploring Sephora on the last day that they were offering 15% off for Beauty Insiders, and I kept going back to this palette to swatch the shades in here, feeling more and more devastated as I stared at the empty product rack. Finally, after many calculations, I decided to ask one of the lovely ladies working if I could buy one online and have it shipped to my house. Turns out that my store wasn't out of them, they were just at another display, and I looked like a child on Christmas holding that box in my hands. I knew that I had to get swatches and do a review over this gem.

♡ WHAT YOU GET

The gold detailing is so gorgeous it just stunned me. It's no wonder that my Sephora store was sold out of these palettes the first time I checked! I'd buy this palette just for the packaging to be honest.

The shades look so true to the Sephora image, so I was really excited about that. With the 15% off, I ended up saving around $10, which isn't bad considering that it is Sephora.

I ended up swatching row-by-row with the exception of the first two rows which I combined. Like last time, I swatched these shadows with my fingers going from right to left, up to down.

Rows 1 & 2
R to L: Absolution, Rapture, Worship, Immaculate, Sabbath, Ashes

Row 3

R to L: Chalice, Sacred Heart, Amen, Martyr, Devil, Revelation

Row 4

R to L: Sanctuary, Heaven, Cruficix, Vestment, Ministry, Exodus

Row 5
R to L: Cathedral, Rosary, Baptism, Exorcism, Relic, Stigmata

These shades are super duper pigmented and have a creamy consistency which is amazing. The mattes are a bit streaky, but they're also decently pigmented, but can be built up into the perfect pigment.

♡ TOP 5 SHADOWS ♡

5) Rapture
This red/rose shade is the perfect subtle glimmer to add to a base. I love how
pigmented yet subtle it is. It makes for the perfect casual eye look!
4) Worship
If you couldn't already tell, I love warm cranberry shades and this shade is absolutely           gorgeous. For a matte shadow, it has a great consistency and nice pigmentation.
Definitely going to be one of my most used shades this fall.
3) Chalice
This subtle gold is the perfect metallic gold shadow that you need. It's perfect for a New
Year's party and just dressing up a cozy sweater!
2) Ministry/Vestment
I cannot choose between these two shades because they are both absolutely stunning.
The pigmentation is so wonderful with these eyeshadows and they both just pop. They
just give me winter vibes, and I am a fan.
1) Cathedral
This is probably one of the most pigmented shades in the palette. This gorgeous cool           silver can double as a gorgeous crease shade or even a lid shade. The possibilities are
       endless with this shade.

♡ BOTTOM 3 SHADOWS ♡

3) Amen
I was really disappointed with how streaky this shadow is. I tried to build it up as you
can probably tell, but the consistency of the swatch just isn't good. I'm sure that if you
put some TLC into this shade, it could make a great base for another shadow, but I just
       don't have the time, tbh.
2) Ashes
I just really don't like this shade. The pigmentation is fantastic, but it's this awkward tan
shade that almost matches my skin tone with a slight glimmer to it. I'm sure it would
look gorgeous on my dark skin tone ladies, but it just isn't for me.
1) Exodus
I look hideous in highlighter yellow/lime green. The color looks gorgeous in the pan as
this vibrant lime green, but it swatches like a fluorescent yellow, and it just isn't
flattering. If you're going for a Pop Art look, this could be a great shade for that kind of
makeup, but it isn't something that I'm desperately looking for.

♡ HOW I WEAR IT

Look #1
Straight up Rapture all over the lid. I applied this with a wet brush to really bring out the pigment. It looks gorgeous, but the lighting is terrible (why is it so dark out at 5 PM???)

Look #2
Apply Rosary all over the lid with a wet brush. I cheated and used a Morphe shade as my crease, but some great other options are Crucifix, Sanctuary, and Worship.

Look #3
Apply Absolution all over the lid with a wet brush. Go into the crease with Cathedral on a wet crease brush and use Heaven as a transition shade to blend the two together.

♡ FINAL THOUGHTS

I really love this palette. At first I was a bit apprehensive about the price, thinking of returning it so that I could afford to buy Christmas presents, but after I came up with the third look, I was hooked (I'll just deal with being in severe debt some other day). The colors are so pigmented for a finger swatch and they definitely do apply well with a wet brush.

I recommend this palette for the gorgeous girls out there who are looking for a bold splurge-worthy well-pigmented colorful Christmas palette. If you're more of a neutrals person/apprehensive about spending $62 on bright shades because that's not your thing, this palette probably isn't for you. That's not to say that you wouldn't like some of the shades in here though, because this palette offers an amazing selection of gorgeous shades.
