Who Are We?

Welcome to La Salle Belle! We are two nineteen-year-old girls from two opposite ends of Indiana but share the same love for all things fashion and beauty. While both of our styles are very similar, they are also distinct and unique to who we are as individuals. The purpose of this blog is for us to share these styles with you guys as well as tips ideas and tips for makeup, clothing, and lifestyle—to name a few!

If there’s anything specific you want to see or hear about, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment! Merci beaucoup for visiting us, and we hope you enjoy!

♡ISABELLA♡

Hi there! I’m Isabella, one-half of La Salle Belle, and I’m from Northwest Indiana. A couple random facts about me are that I am currently in school studying neuroscience and psychology and that I have been dating my boyfriend, Riley, for over two years now, but the most important thing that you need to know about me is that I love all—and I mean ALL—things pink; I’m notorious for it! I also love glitter, pearls, and basically anything else that’s over the top girly.

Beauty and style are two of my most favorite things to talk about, and I definitely consider myself passionate about them, so as I post more and more, you should have no problem figuring out what kind of looks and trends I go for. In the meantime, however, here are some fast facts about what I’m into:

MY FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP ARE: ASOS, Boohoo, Miss Selfridge, Pretty Little Thing

MY FAVORITE MAKEUP BRANDS ARE: Too Faced is literally the only brand I have on my vanity!

I NEVER LEAVE MY HOUSE WITHOUT: Pearl earrings and a purse

MY TOP 3 STYLE INSPIRATIONS ARE: The Chanels (from Scream Queens), Blair Waldorf (from Gossip Girl), and Freddy Cousin-Brown

MY WARDROBE ISN’T COMPLETE WITHOUT: PINK, fur, feathers, and something sparkly

IF I COULD ONLY LIVE WITH ONE MAKEUP PRODUCT, IT WOULD BE: Black eyeliner

♡SALLY♡

Hey y’all! I’m Sally, the other half of La Salle Belle, and I’m from Southwest Indiana! I’m a Phi Mu at the University of Evansville, and I’m majoring in psychology and minoring in neuroscience. I studied abroad in England in 2018, and I'm currently dating someone from there! If I had to describe my style, it would be girly/everything. I don’t have a set style, so I can go from boho chic one day to professional the next. The only thing that links it all together is that I have a really girly touch to all my outfits.

I absolutely love beauty and fashion (evidenced by my growing pile of fashion books in my room). It’s so unique and honestly, that’s probably why I have such a wide array of variety in my style. I love it so much I can’t commit to just one taste! Here’s some random facts that should allow you to get a feel for how chaotic my closet and vanity are:

FAVORITE SHOPS: Boohoo, Forever21, Victoria’s Secret PINK, Francesca’s & Charlotte Russe

FAVORITE MAKEUP BRANDS: Kat Von D, MAC, Morphe, Tarte, Anastasia Beverly Hills, & Fenty

FAVORITE SKINCARE BRANDS: LUSH, TonyMoly, The Face Shop, & GlamGlow

MY FAVORITE DESIGNER BRANDS: Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, & Burberry

IF I COULD ONLY LIVE WITH ONE MAKEUP PRODUCT, IT WOULD BE: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

  1. If I may offer some constructive criticism of the blog itself, I personally find that the pale pink backdrop of the blog makes reading the smaller black font somewhat straining. In addition, the fonts of the respective owners of the blog are of different sizes, making the descriptions of each person a bit odd to read through; not a huge deal overall, just something to consider changing for a bit of quality-of-life.

Secondly, some of the writing, particularly on Bella's end, tends to be extensive and lacks a certain hook, making it somewhat difficult to be interested in reading it overall. It more or less seems like someone rambling about random nonsense. I would also advise a read-through or two of blog posts before publishing, as I noticed a number of typos and/or severe grammatical mistakes that make the read very difficult to understand.

Finally, (and this sort of returns to the color scheme of the blog) the white-on-pink parts of the comments section is quite painful for the eyes.

Again, this is simply constructive criticism, not intended to be taken as a personal attack on the creators of this blog.

    1. For your first point, the blog layout is really a work in progress. We've found this color scheme to be the best; however, there are some spots, where I need to go in and edit some of the colors. The owners section layout is just messed up, because even though there's a notable difference on the actual page, the post itself is perfectly fine.

For the second point, thank you for your points, we will definitely keep that in mind from this point on. This is our first blog, so we're trying to figure out what works.

For that last point, I know it's hard to see, but I've definitely been trying to make these changes for a while. It's difficult to see it when the preview page of the blog doesn't show me the how it changes certain parts of the blog such as this comment as I'm typing it.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
