♡ YAY OR NO WAY? TOO FACED CHOCOLATE GOLD PALETTE ♡

Hi lovelies! I have another exciting review for you!

So lately, Too Faced has been kinda disappointing me with their pigmentation, color choices, and overall palette quality lately. I'll go ahead and say that I cannot stand the White Chocolate Bar palette. Just a poor palette altogether.

The Chocolate Gold palette seemed to be redeeming in my eyes. I was intrigued by all the glitter shades, and I was curious as to how they would swatch. I wanted to use my Sephora holiday coupon, but it hadn't arrived at the actual Sephora store yet. However, Bella sent me a Snapchat of the palette in our JC Penney Sephora! So of course, I had to run to the mall and pick it up.

♡ WHAT I THINK ♡

I am still so impressed with the pigmentation of this palette. I think that Too Faced has most definitely redeemed themselves with this palette. It's a nice palette full of fun new colors and wonderful pigmentation unlike some of their other palettes (cough White Chocolate Bar). I'm also a sucker for a foil palette, and needless to say, I am head over heels for this one. You might remember that I said that I wanted a gold eyeshadow in my Morphe 35F review, and I think that this palette more than satisfies that need for me! Also, it smells amazing!

♡ TOP 5 SHADOWS ♡

5) Classy & Sassy
I am a complete sucker for anything rose gold, and I'll be darned if this isn't the cutest
rose gold eyeshadow that I own. The pigmentation is too gorgeous, and it's so versatile!
4) Rich Girl
This champagne colored gold is the perfect subtle glam eyeshadow. It's like a nice
touch of beauty and elegance on the lid.
3) Livin' Lavish
I totally did not recognize this as a purple eyeshadow when I first saw it, but I was so
pleasantly surprised when I swatched it. It's that perfect plum color that is so perfect for
this time of year, and it's my most pigmented purple eyeshadow that I own!
2) Famous
This is my favorite gold shade. It swatches like a true gold and the consistency of this
shade is so soft and creamy!
1) Drippin' Diamonds
Can you blame me??? This shade is SO breathtaking! That silver has such a bright
pigment and pop, it's like a diamond! It most definitely dazzles the room!

♡ BOTTOM 3 SHADOWS ♡

3) Holla For A Dolla
Don't get me wrong, the pigmentation of this shadow is so fantastic. However, I'm just
not a fan of the shade. I don't know why, it just reminds me of a dirty trash can, and
that's not a color that I can/want to pull off (even though I'm trash ha). Again, it might
be a great transition shade, so if you have it, definitely try to make it work!
2) Money Bags
I love green eyeshadows, although I never wear them. I had such high hopes while
swatching this eyeshadow, and while it is a pretty color, the shadow feels hard, and it
gets super streaky. I think that if you give it some TLC, you might be able to work with
it but I'm not super motivated to do so, since I don't wear greens much anyways.
1) So Boujee
I don't know if this is a new thing, but this eyeshadow matches my skin tone. You can
barely see it in real life, although there is a slight difference in the picture. It would
probably make a good transition shade, but I can't help but feel disappointed.

♡ HOW I WEAR IT

Look #1

I tried going for a golden look, but that didn't end up happening, but I was still amazed with this look! Use Rich Girl, Chocolate Gold, and Gold Dipped all over the lid. Pop in with Holla for a Dolla in the outer crease and blend. Add a small subtle wing, and you're golden!

Look #2

A unicorn inspired look. Use Drippin' Diamonds on your lid. With a small angled brush, sweep in New Money for a cut crease look. Add dramatic winged eyeliner, and you're majestic!

♡ FINAL THOUGHTS

It's a YAY from me! I'm really happy with this palette. I wasn't sure how I felt about this palette when Too Faced first announced its release, seeing as I had not touched any of my Too Faced palettes in months. However, I think I made the right choice buying this palette. The foils really do stand out, and I recommend using either a wet brush or your finger to apply these shadows for maximum shine!

This palette is perfect for those super extra gorgeous girls who love to rise and shine (quite literally). I don't recommend this for the basic girls who love their neutral matte shades. This probably isn't the palette for you.

For those who love these looks, but are balling on a budget, I highly recommend the ColourPop Golden State of Mind palette, ColourPop Element of Surprise palette, Morphe 35OS Shimmer Nature Glow palette, or the Morphe 15D Day Slayer palette. However, if you can afford it, I highly recommend this Too Faced palette.

I hope that this review ends up being useful to you while you Christmas shop (or treat yo self). As always, make sure to follow our social media accounts under "Who Are We?" and "Contact Us!" so that you can stay updated on our lives and future blog posts!
