♡ YAY OR NO WAY? MORPHE 35F FALL INTO FROST PALETTE ♡

Hey y'all! So I've been debating over what I want to treat myself to for the holidays. I've been looking at different palettes like the Anastasia Beverly Hills "Modern Renaissance" palette or the ColourPop "She" palette. But then a friend of mine suggested Morphe palettes, because she wasn't a huge fan of the Modern Renaissance palette, and I sort of brushed it off, because I figured that Morphe would be out of my budget. I was trying to justify spending the money on the Modern Renaissance palette, but I didn't want to commit just yet.

I spent a few days on Sephora's and Ulta's websites, ultimately disappointed that our Sephora didn't carry ColourPop. Figuring that I was too broke to afford Sephora, I remembered that my local Ulta shop did carry Morphe, and it didn't hurt to look right? I looked on Morphe's website, liked the 35W Warm palette, but guess what? Ulta doesn't carry it. So at this point, I'm feeling hopeless, so I scoured Ulta's website for their Morphe palettes. And then I found it. The 35F Fall into Frost palette (Ulta or Morphe's website).

♡ WHAT YOU GET ♡

What I really loved about this palette at first glance is that there are a ton of shimmery shades that are all perfect for this time of year. Plus, there's so many pinks! It's perfect for my tastes! The only downfall is that this palette doesn't have a mirror, which is a blessing and a curse. I hate having to wipe off excess eyeshadow on my mirror, but when I'm traveling, I like to use my palette mirrors since they are really big. I might try to glue a mirror in there before I study abroad.

This palette retails for $23, but I had 100 Ulta points that I redeemed as a $3 credit, so that brought my subtotal down to $20. With tax, I ended up paying $21.40. However, Morphe is not considered a "Prestige Brand" by Ulta, so you should be able to use Ulta's $3.50 off of a $15 purchase on their products.

If you're buying through the Morphe website, I know they have a bunch of YouTubers who endorse their brand and have a special coupon code, so definitely search around YouTube for creator codes, because I think they grant 10% off of your purchase.

Here are the finger swatches that I took for each row left to right, going down:

Row 1

Row 2

Row 3

Row 4

Row 5

You can tell that most, if not all of the shimmery shades are super pigmented, and I was super impressed with the consistency of the top 4 rows. The shadows are super duper creamy and it doesn't take much to pick up the pigment. All of the shimmery shades have this metallic look to them. When I wore the shadows for the first time, I could not stop staring at myself in the mirror. The shadows are easy to blend and look metallic (they could rival the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette)

I ended up boxing in Row 5 because they were hard to see, but I'll give you the run down in my following explanation.

Just so I'm able to binge watch Riverdale tonight, I'm gonna give you my top 5 and least favorite shadows by this chart since the shadows aren't named

♡ TOP 5 SHADOWS
5) #17
I really love the champagne-beige color of this palette. I feel like I'm able to have a
somewhat neutral look with this shade, and it's honestly perfect for all seasons. It
reminds me of a nice cappuccino, and it showed up a lot better than I was expecting
4) #5
I've always wanted a nice gold eyeshadow, but I was disappointed when I found that
the gold color in the Too Faced Natural Love palette wasn't well pigmented. This shade
comes off a lot brighter and bolder than I would've expected, since the color reminded
me of the Natural Love shade. Needless to say, I'm pleased.
3) #19
If you couldn't tell from the palettes that I was looking at, I've been looking for a rose
gold shadow, because I am OBSESSED with rose gold. I didn't expect #19 to be the
rose gold that I needed in my life, but it swatched so well, I fell in love.
2) #20
This color was hit or miss at first glance. Having prior experience with colors that dark, I
knew that it was either gonna be really good pigment or it was gonna be streaky and
chalky. Thank goodness it was the first option, because this shade is absolutely perfect
       for fall! Yay fall makeup!
1) #25
This is the first color that I swatched in the store and the first color that I chose to wear
with my first look. The cranberry rose pink is breathtaking, and the picture doesn't do it
justice. I kept getting compliments from everyone on the color because it looks
       phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend.

♡ LEAST FAVORITE SHADOWS
I was super disappointed with all the matte shadows in Row 5 though. They were extremely chalky, did not have much pigment at all, and you could barely see the shades from my swatches from one swipe like the other rows. It took me about 4-5 swipes to even get the hint of color, so I don't really recommend them to anyone looking to use these as solid colors. Bella did bring up the good point that these shadows could be used to set your primer, but that's not what I do, so they're pretty much useless to me. I see some potential in #35 as a smokey shadow, but other than that, I really couldn't care less about the last row.

♡ THE LOOKS THAT I'VE COME UP WITH ♡
Look #1
For this look, I used #27 in the crease and #25 in the lid and blended the two shades into one another, but I ended up in a hurry, so my blending skills lowkey sucked.

Look #2
I used #27 in the crease again and for the lid, I mixed #20 and #21 because I couldn't choose between the two. Again, I tried to blend, ran out of time, but I'm not mad at the results.

Well, that's all I have for you. What do I think about the palette? I love it. It's perfect for fall and winter, and these shades are so creamy, pigmented, and gorgeous for the price. Do you need this? If you love shimmery eyeshadows and aren't afraid of having a bold eye, definitely yes. If you like matte eyeshadows and like to keep your look natural, this palette probably isn't for you, but I think that you could make it work either way.
