♡ Sally's Fall Necessities ♡

Hey y'all! So it's recently become fall in southern Indiana, and it hit hard (going from 70°F to an instant 40° one weekend). Needless to say, I wasn't prepared to grab my pink coat and scarves yet, but I'm kinda glad that it's acceptable to start drinking hot cocoa again, and I'm super stoked to be pulling some of my favorite fall items again! Here's a list of things that we all need in our lives during fall:

1) Hot Chocolate

I know there's a giant debate over whether coffee or tea is better, but let's just all agree that sometimes a nice cup of hot chocolate is all you need alongside a cozy blanket, a warm fireplace, and YouTube videos. I normally grab a Venti Classic Hot Chocolate from Starbucks on days where I'm not ready to deal with the world. Best part? It's customizable! So go ahead and add your dash of cinnamon or stir in your candy cane to make the hot chocolate you enjoy and deserve.

2) Blanket Scarves

Blanket scarves were a trend from last year and are basically giant scarves that really overpower your frame, but are still super trendy. I bought my scarf (that totally reminds me of the Burberry plaid, but I totally cannot afford that life... yet) on clearance at Dillard's last year, but here are some similar ones from Dillard's, Boohoo, Charter Club, and Calvin Klein. My favorite part of blanket scarves is the versatility. One moment it's a fashion accessory on your neck, the next moment, you're literally wrapped in your blanket scarf, because it's the comfiest thing ever. For me, it's like a warm hug.

3) Candles

I don't know what it is about candles, but the warm flickering light of the candle is so relaxing and reminds me of fall so much. I love to light candles while I'm studying and relaxing, because it just calms me down. I buy my candles from Target from Signature Soy. For my dorm friends, don't fret, I also love to use a wax warmer, because I'm not as likely to burn down my house. Get some here!

4) The Perfect Fall Makeup

I love the color maroon and any deep red for fall. If fall had a single color, it would be maroon for me, and my closet and vanity reflects that. I have a bunch of maroon clothes, and the perfect deep red lips like this Viva Glam III lipstick from MAC that is a LOT more red in person or this NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade "Madrid." I also like a bright pop of red at times, which I can get from this Sephora lipstick in the shade "Pure Red". In terms of eye makeup, I'm in love with my new Morphe 35F "Fall into Frost" palette. The pigmentation of the colors is absolutely astounding and gorgeous for the price, and it's so stunning, although I've found issues with a few of the shades. Let me know if you want to see a review on this palette in a later post! With these reds, I'd use a natural lip so it isn't too much.
