♡ Sally's Room Tour ♡
Hey y'all! It's been nearly a month since our last blog post! WHAT? Bella and I have been super busy with sorority formal recruitment and our classes, that we kept pushing off the blog until last week when we filmed our first video that will also double as a blog post.
But since it's been so long, I decided that I'll go ahead and do the old fashioned room tour! I repainted my room two years ago from my childhood Hello Kitty themed bedroom to my classy chic bedroom that I have today. Without further ado, let's get into the tour!
We'll begin at the entrance to my room, the door in the far back. I normally have my Phi Mu flag hanging on the left wall, but I forgot to put it up again after we used it for recruitment. The door on the right leads into the bathroom that further leads into my brother's room.

Then comes my picture wall. I like to post pictures with friends on this wall. You can also see some of the canvases that I got from my big sorority sister during big/little week (the big white one, the blue Finding Dory, and the blue/black canvas) and the other canvases that I hand painted! I have a wall mirror that's too low for any use, and two laundry baskets that I use to divide my brights from my darks. The pillow on the ground is there for when my dog sleeps in my room!
And next to the canvases is my bed. It's an average queen-sized bed, though I'm trying to get new bedsheets and comforters! I have a bunch of Hayden Williams illustrations framed and lined up on my wall--it's one of my favorite parts of my room! Hanging above my bed and lining the perimeter of the wall are these cute white floral string lanterns that I bought from Target!
Next to my bed is my nightstand! I got this nightstand from Target when I was really young. I have a mug on there to hold my bobby pins and hair ties when I get too lazy to get up and put them on my vanity. I have a small bamboo plant, a water bottle, tissues, and Michelle Phan's "Make Up." In the drawer, I store half-empty water bottles to water my plant. I hold small miscellaneous items in the cubby of my nightstand.
Another favorite part--my office space! I have my desk as close to the wall as I can get it, and I store poster boards on the side. I have my sorority composite picture, two cork boards (that I painted), a white board, and a white board calendar on the wall next to my desk.
On top of my desk, I have a picture frame, pencils and markers, a selfie stick that I use to film DIYs, a lamp, a canvas, a stuffed lion (my sorority's mascot!), and a wax warmer to make my room smell good. I decorated the back of my desk with scrapbook paper, and I like to paste cool small things in there! I like to use small buckets from Target's dollar section to hold my pens and other writing utensils.
On the right side of my desk, you can see my small storage units for clips, post it notes, and such. I use the top shelves as organization for papers and planner stickers, and I have my white board stuff in the far right cubby. Then I have my printer, and you can see my planner which is the only thing keeping my life together right now.
Fun fact, the surface of my desk is dry erase, and the keyboard surface that slides out from under my desk is chalkboard, but I use the keyboard shelf as storage for my paper cutter! I did this by taking dry erase and chalkboard contact paper or shelf liner and cutting it to the size I needed and then peeling off the backing paper before sticking it to my cleaned desk surface!

To the right of my desk, I have my bookshelf and cube case. On my bookshelf, I have a nice vase of (fake) flowers, the stuffed panda that my big sorority sister gave me, and Lauren Conrad's "Style." I put all my school binders, notebooks, textbooks, etc on the top shelf of my bookcase. My YA books, CAH, and piggy bank are in the middle shelf. At the bottom are just various school books, YA books, and old planners! Moving on to my cube storage unit, I have a jar for receipts and my sorority bid bordered by fake flowers. The top cubby is for playbills, Phi Mu memories, and small cute things. The second cubby has photos and old yearbooks, and the bottom cubby is a storage cube with all kinds of things in it.
To the right of that, I have my Phi Mu wooden letters on top of the door to my storage closet, and I use that to hang up my backpack for school and this big weekender bag that I frequently use.
Another one of my favorites, my vanity! I basically used my brother's old desk and hung a cheap mirror from Target on the wall (are you starting to see a trend?). I bought this clear makeup organizer from Ross, and I store all my daily makeup in it. I totally stole Bella's palette organizer tip. I bought this letter divider for $3 from Target's dollar section, and I use it to organize my makeup palettes. You can see that I have a cheap mirror (that I also bought from Target) that I use when I need to get up close and personal to my face. Behind that, I keep a box of tissues for any mistakes, and to the right of that, I have a small plastic box that I keep q-tips and cotton pads in.
On the right side of my vanity, I have another small bucket from Target that I use to store hair ties. I put my toner and my deodorant on display since I use these items frequently. The small white tin box holds all my bobby pins, and I bought a glass vase from Hobby Lobby to hold my hair brushes. I have my alarm clock on my vanity, and a Bose wireless speaker so I can listen to music while I get ready.
To the right of my vanity is supposed to be a bookshelf, but I use it to store any beauty products that I don't frequently use. I put all my face masks and skin care items in a plastic caddy that I bought from TJ Maxx and I lined up all my perfumes and lotions on top. On the middle shelf, I have a basket holding my straightening and curling irons and my portable makeup carrier. At the bottom, I have small makeup bags, and other random products in addition to amazon boxes that I keep so I can return my rental textbooks.
To the right of my vanity is my closet. I decided to not show my closet because of how long this post is going to be (if you're currently reading this, you're the MVP). However, I'll share my favorite organization tip. My mom is superstitious, and she believes that when your handbag is on the floor, you will never be wealthy. So instead of trying to find a surface that I can put my purse on and moving it from surface to surface, I bought an over-the-door hook (probably meant for towels and bathrobes) and I hang my current handbag on the hook!
And that's the end of my room tour. Thanks for sticking it out if you've made it this far, and thank you for stopping by! Beaucoup d'amore♡
