♡ Bella's Makeup Collection ♡
Hello, hello, hello, friends--long time no talk, kind of! I know that the amount of time that has passed between my last post and now should be enough to get me jumping past an intro and straight into the post this time around, and trust me, I totally want to, especially since it's currently one in the morning, but I just want to quickly address my brief yet spontaneous fall off of the blogging grid--for a lack of a better term--unless you don't really care about it, in which case, you can go on ahead to the rest of the post!
My sudden inactiveness did not result from a reduced interest in the blog nor a lack of inspiration, but rather a monster hybrid of the fact that I practically live at my job and the fact that I was between post ideas and couldn't decide on one for the life of me. Hopefully now, though, that I've somewhat pulled myself together and am just barely starting to get reorganized, I'll be back to posting at least once a week on here! Sally and I have big things planned for this blog as well as for ourselves that we're incredibly excited to share with you, but for now, I'll quit rambling and start small with my highly requested makeup collection!
♡ EYES ♡
I figured I should start off with my absolute favorite members of my makeup collection--my Too Faced Chocolate Bar family! I don't want this post to be more of a review than it is of a collection--primarily because I don't want to make it longer than I already know it's gonna be--but I completely recommend any of the Chocolate Bars to anyone who's just starting out with makeup, or even to anyone who's already well-versed in makeup but doesn't yet own any of these guys. Each of them have extremely versatile shade ranges that are suitable for every day use but still give you a little room to have some fun, especially the Chocolate Bon Bons palette that features not one, not two, but three bright pops of pink.
Additionally, little White Chocolate Chip palette isn't technically a bonafide member of the Chocolate Bar family, but I thought it belonged in this section of the post anyway.
The next eyeshadow palettes I want to show are all from the past two Too Faced Christmas collections. The first one featured--or ones, I should say, since it's three palettes in one--in the upper left of the first picture is the Grande Hotel palette collection from Christmas 2016. The green one is meant to be themed around an eggnog latte, the brown one a gingerbread cookie, and the pink one a peppermint mocha, and if you're familiar with this particular collection, you'll know that each one carries the scent of their inspirations.
The second palette I'm showing belongs to the box in the top picture's lower right, which is the Le Grand Chateau palette collection from Christmas 2015. Like the Grande Hotel, Le Grand Chateau also housed three palettes--one pink, one green, and one black--but because I never really found myself using them, I gave the pink and green ones to my cousin.
The large palette in the middle is the Chocolate Shop palette from Christmas 2016 and is my personal favorite of all of the Christmas palettes that I own.
The final palette of this part of my collection is the La Petite Maison palette from Christmas 2015. This one originally was kept in a cute display box of its own like the Chocolate Shop, but I took it out when I left for school last year to take it with me and haven't seen the box since then. Oops.
These palettes are more or less my miscellaneous palettes: my Too Faced Funfetti palette, my Too Faced Natural Love palette, my Karity 21 Matte palette, and my Too Faced Stardust palette. Out of these four, I would definitely say that the Natural Love is my favorite one, though, as I mentioned in my June Favorites post, my Karity palette is the one that I reach for almost every day, if not every day entirely.
I'll be honest: the only reason these three palettes have their own section in this post is because I forgot about them while I was taking pictures and saw them only when I was done. That being said, I love each of these palettes so much that they deserved their own section anyway. I'm sure you remember the Too Faced Glitter Bomb palette that was also featured in my June Favorites post, if you read that one, which has since gotten much more use and hasn't failed me once; if anything, it's only made me love it more.
The Too Faced Sugar Pop palette was among one of the first palettes I purchased, and at the time, I wasn't at all drawn to the idea of colorful eyeshadow nor could I picture myself even playing around with it, but I absolutely could not say no to the packaging. The Too Faced Romantic Eye palette, on the other hand, was the literal very first Too Faced palette I received--check out that classic Too Faced packaging!--and was, I think, the perfect one for me to toy around with as my first palette. The colors are neutral enough to work with as a beginner, but still bright and fun enough to catalyze the makeup addiction to follow.
I'll cap off the Eye portion of my makeup collection with my "extra" eye makeup: my Benefit brow kit, my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, and my favorite, favorite, favorite eyeliner that I honestly don't know the name of and don't feel like getting out of bed to look at right now.
Working backwards, the eyeliner I use is actually from the Philippines and isn't available in the United States, so when I run out of it, or when someone asks me what eyeliner I use, I go for the Colourpop creme gel liner in Swerve--it's pretty much an exact dupe!
As far as Better Than Sex goes, again, I don't want to turn this post into a makeup review, but for anyone wondering, it's honestly the best mascara I've ever used; it rarely, if ever, clumps up on me and makes my lashes longer than any other mascara I've tried.
As you can see in the first picture, the Benefit Bigger & Bolder Brows is a box set that contains multiple products, so I went ahead and opened it up so you can see what's inside: a Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel, a ka-BROW! eyebrow pomade, a High Brow pencil brow highlighter, and a set of eyebrow stencils along with a stencil holder. I only use the gel and pomade daily, but sometimes, if I want a little extra highlight on my browbone, I go for the High Brow.
♡ LIPS ♡
I don't really use lip products regularly, so all of the lip products I own I either liked so much that I couldn't pass up buying them or I received as a gift or as a freebie with the purchase of another product. Starting from the left, I have two Too Faced La Creme lipsticks in the shades Honey Bear (my favorite lipstick ever) and 9021Ohhh. Below, in the black, spiky packaging is a miniature Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in Muse. This lipstick came with Too Faced's Better Together Cheek & Lip Makeup Bag Set which my friend and her mom got me as a Christmas gift last December, and if I'm not mistaken, this specific shade is not currently available to buy on its own.
Of the Too Faced Melted lipsticks, I own the shades Melted Ruby (my go-to for a red lip), Metallic Violet (which is on sale right now along with all the other metallic shades!), and a mini Chocolate Milkshake. I also have Rated R from their new Melted Latex collection, which is a lip gloss rather than a lipstick.
Also a part of my lip gloss collection are a Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Plush Red; the exclusive Too Faced Funfetti lip gloss that I got with the full Funfetti collection; Ariana Grande's first Mac Viva Glam Lip Glass; and a Maybelline Color Sensational Color Elixir Lip Lacquer in Nude Illusion, which I wear the most frequently over other lipsticks or my Maybelline Colorblur pencil in Fast & Fuchsia.
♡ FACE♡
And now, for the final part of my makeup collection: my face makeup. In the first picture, I've arranged the products in pretty much the order that I (and probably everyone else) uses them, starting, of course, with my Maybelline Blur + Smooth primer.
Next is my Tarte Shape Tape concealer in light-medium honey, which absolutely lives up to all the hype and praise it receives. If you're looking for a full coverage concealer and/or if you're like me and don't use foundation that much but still are looking for something to touch up your skin with, I wouldn't recommend any other product.
For my blush, I own three products that are all from Too Faced, but the only ones I've used are the Sweethearts blush in Candy Glow and the blush that I also got with the Funfetti collection; as you can see, the Funfetti blush is my favorite, and I have no idea what I'm gonna do once it's all gone. The mini Love Flush in So Happy Together came with the Better Together Makeup Bag set as well, but it's so pink and so pigmented that I'm still a little scared to use it.
The Better Together Makeup Bag set also gave me a mini Candlelight Glow highlighter, but I haven't used that one either because of the two other highlighters that I own, which are both Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Pearl and Opal. The Candlelight Glow highlighter gives you more of a subtle shine, whereas the Skin Perfectors are more ideal when you're trying to achieve a highlight-so-bright-it-blinds effect, which I always am.
♡♡♡
And so concludes my makeup collection! It's good to be back on here, and I'm already excited to talk to you guys again in my next post!
Milles bisous,
Bella♡
